[edit] Knighthood

Fiery Fred was, despite what appear to be "humorous" edits on here, not "Sir" Fred. In fact an obituary in the Sunday Times on 2 July specifically mentions that he was not:

He was made an OBE, but warranted a knighthood. Perhaps if he’d gone to university, or been a batsman, he might have got one.

Any further additions of "Sir" without citing verifiable references which contradict the above are at best mistaken and at worst deliberate vandalism. Tonywalton  | Talk 13:44, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

Have added a ref to "Sir Frederick" as the TMS nickname. --IXIA 10:24, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
