Frestonia

In 1977, Freston Road, a street in Notting Hill Dale, West London, attempted to secede from the United Kingdom, giving itself the name Frestonia. The street was primarily squats. It appealed to the United Nations to send a peacekeeping force to prevent evictions by the Greater London Council.
Actor David Rappaport was once the "Foreign Minister".
Frestonia was the name of the last album from Aztec Camera.
