The French Guyanese coat of arms displays a gules camp, a sable boat with heraldy oars carrying a bunch of gold situated in a azure river with three silver neuflar flowers two of which are paired together and one solo.

The Jefe shows a azure strip with three golden lillies surrounded by the number 1643 made of the same metal.

The number 1643 refers to the year that French Guyana was incorperated into France. The loaded golden boat symbolizes the richness that exists in the territory.

The words, "Work Creates Abundance" (Latin: Fert Aurum Industria) appear on the superior part of the shield on a ribbon.
