Freedom League

The Freedom League is the main governing body, police, and army for Haven City in the fictional Jak and Daxter universe. Known as the Krimzon Guard under the reign of Baron Praxis, they were at first renamed the New Krimzon Guard when Ashelin was made Governor, and then later named the Freedom League. Members wear blue armour as opposed to the KG's red, and all of their technology is blue too. They no longer patrol the streets in special Zoomers and HellCat Cruisers, and the only Freedom League HellCat Cruiser seems to be Ashelin's special model. They serve the will of Ashelin, and also served the will of the Grand Council until it was disbanded. Their commander is Torn, but other key figures in the League include Samos, Onin, Pecker, Jak, Daxter, Jinx, and Keira. They were called into military service to fight for Haven City against the KG and Metal Heads, and it was only through a strong determination and a lot of luck that they managed to reclaim the city.

[edit] Krimzon Guard
Main Article:Krimzon Guard
As Krimzon Guards, they served Baron Praxis, who was the only one they could take orders from. This was also the time when they were building KG robots, but they probably regretted that. When Praxis died and Ashelin took up the throne, they were renamed the New Krimzon Guard, and later the Freedom League Guard.
[edit] After Jak II
When the Freedom League was born, a war broke out soon after Jak was banished. The war divided Haven City and Torn was cut off from New Haven, and they lost nearly all communications. Then three KG Blast Bots were coming to the Naughty Ottsel (now a southern HQ) to kill Torn. Luckily, Jak was back, and destroyed the Blast Bots. Then Daxter used a missile to breach a shield into half of the industrial section.
Later the Freedom League linked back up with those in New Haven. The war later ended with the Freedom League on top.
[edit] Trivia
- In Jak 3, you can hear some guards saying things like "I miss the old Baron."
- Unlike the Krimzon Guard, the Freedom League Guard carry grenade launchers in the city.
- The Freedom League guards no longer shoot at you if you transform into Dark Jak or hurt a civilian. They will if you hurt them, though.
