Free Tibet Campaign
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Free Tibet Campaign is an organisation based in London dedicated to establishing the right of the Tibetan people to determine their own government. It campaigns for an end to what Tibetans consider to be an occupation of their country by Chinese forces, and that the Tibetans' fundamental human rights be respected. It is independent of any governments and is funded by its members and supporters. The PRC government asserts that Tibet is, and has been, a part of China, and that military actions taken in the 1950s and 1960s were for the sake of liberating the Tibetan people from the system of government administered by the Dalai Lama.
