The Fred Schwengel Memorial Bridge, named for the former U.S. Congressman from Davenport, Iowa who was one of the driving forces behind the Interstate Highway Act. The bridge, which opened October 27, 1966, crosses the Mississippi River at Le Claire, Iowa and Rapids City, Illinois. The bridge is most famous for its view of the "Tyner Mansion" in Hampton, Illinois. The bridge is signed as part of Interstate 80.
