[edit] Philemon
Fred´s most famous creation, Philémon was born in 1966, for a 15 page story he promised to Spirou magazine, which refused. But Goscinny himself, creator of Astérix and many other classic french comics, loved his work and asked for more. Fred wrote a script and showed it to Gosciny, who asked for its publishing, but Fred said he wouldn´t do it unless he would make the drawings himself. Goscinny agreed and so the first published adventure of Philemon, "Philémon et le Naufragé du A" was published. The series ended in 1987, 15 albums after it began.
