[edit] Project
Hey i've noticed you've an interest in GAA and Dublin GAA , you might like to join Wikipedia:WikiProject Gaelic Games
Up the Dubs
(Gnevin 23:42, 28 March 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Ciáran Whelan
Do you know when he was captain , if so please add it too the articial (Gnevin 22:30, 30 March 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Dublin Players
Alot of the articials you added are very short and their is a very real chance they will be nominated as AfD. Might i suggest that the best way forward would be to create an Articial called Dublin Inter County Gaelic Footballers or something with a better ring to it . And then merge the shortest articials into it such as Alan Brogan and Tomás Quinn .While longers articials such as Ray Cosgrove or Ciarán Whelan would remain as seperate articials that would be linked to from the main articial . When a players section gets to a decent size it could then be made into a seperate articial . (Gnevin 01:56, 4 May 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Newly created
I've just created Leinster Senior Football Championship just an fyi so you can link to it when your updateing the players pages also if you could use All Ireland Championship when first talking about the All Ireland . Keep up the good work (Gnevin 16:50, 4 May 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Croke Cup
We should mention the best Place to mention it would be to create Dr. Croke Cup as a stub , i know very little about this i'll leave it up too you
ps when you want to talk too a user you leave the comments on their talk page not user page ie User_talk:Gnevin is mine
[edit] Colm Mac Con Iomaire
Thanks for starting this article. I really don't know much about Colm so I was a bit unsure of starting an article. I do a lot of stuff on the Wikipedia in Irish (ga:Príomhleathanach). If you'd like to write about Colm as gaeilge, that'd be cool, otherwise I'm sure I'll get round to translating your article sometime. Le meas Joe Byrne 16:32, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:AengusOSnodaigh.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:AengusOSnodaigh.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! (Whisper...) 16:19, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Dingle
I have moved the article back to Dingle. Irrespective of the official status of the towns name wikipedia policies are what decides where the article is located, re WP:MOS-IR and WP:NC(CN). If you dont agree then discuss on talk:Dingle. Djegan 21:53, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Infobox
Please have a look at [1] for the correct infobox usage (Gnevin 14:01, 29 May 2006 (UTC)) Hi i noticed you've updated Tomás Quinn with the infobox but you arent using the correct code , please seen Shane Ryan for the correct useage
(Gnevin 23:56, 2 June 2006 (UTC))
Having looked at your incorrect infobox usage in the Mark Vaughan i was extremly tempted to just r/v back the last edit before your changes . The only reason i didnt is you added some good information. CAN YOU PLEASE USE THE CORRECT INFOBOX CODE! (Gnevin 15:31, 11 June 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Image tagging for Image:DCU027 16.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:DCU027 16.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:BSJs.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:BSJs.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

- Hi. Could you see about adding some source copyright information to this image as it is now overdue for deletion due to having none. If you could add some to be sure that it is fair use or not under copyright it will prevent the image from being deleted. Thanks. Ben W Bell talk 18:23, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Minor Edits
You seem to use minor edit alot please see for correct usage Help:Minor_edit. For example you went from no page to full page as minor edits see [2]. The first edit should definately of been a normal edit as with alot of the others (Gnevin 22:50, 11 September 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Me again
Sorry to bother you again but just something i've notice on many articials and i know it's not just you but make sure you the intro of articials says Gaelic Athletic Association with a link instead of GAA or GAA as GAA means nothing to people who just happen on articials (Gnevin 20:59, 12 September 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Historical reference to City of Derry/Londonderry
Hi, sorry to drop this message onto your page but I'm trying to invoke a discussion on the WP:IMOS page as to what to use for the historical references to the city of Derry/Londonderry. I am trying to obtain a non-POV neutral discussion over what terminology to use for this or whether the IMOS as it stands should indeed cover this. Since you have been involved in discussions over Derry or County Londonderry and the likes in the past I thought you may like to get involved in the discussion. See the appropriate talk to get involved. Thank you for your time. Ben W Bell talk 16:29, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Colour of handball
Can you please post the most common handball colour here Thanks (Gnevin 19:05, 8 November 2006 (UTC))
[edit] changes to category
Why have you added Category:Gaelic football clubs to Category:Gaelic Athletic Association clubs in Dublin, the union of these 2 category's isnt agreeable in my opinion as you have GAA clubs who are hurling , handball or what ever, An rv back to the previous Category:Gaelic Athletic Association clubs in Dublin and the creation of Category: Dublin Gaelic football clubs would be a better angle of attack (Gnevin 22:42, 14 November 2006 (UTC))
Ok, that was the original plan, but then got a bit confused when i saw Category:Gaelic Athletic Association clubs in Dublin, Frainc 22:49 14 November 2006
[edit] Laois SHC
I would disagree with the amalgamation of the Laois SHC title won by Errill, Rathdowney nad rathdowney-Errill. All were 3 sepserate clubs. Comments?18:05, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
