Talk:Frank Nuccio
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I don't quite know enough about Frank Nuccio to write a detailed biography (heck, that's what other Wikipedia users are for), but the first sentence should explain his significance: the guy created the Cyberathlete Amateur League. CAL was an integral part of Counter-Strike's becoming a profesionally played game in North America. Thousands of North Americans compete in CAL, which has expanded to other games. While people have been playing RTS games in Asia profesionally before this, Frank Nuccio is a huge part of FPS games getting big in North America. His creation of Domain of Games (the precursor the CAL), CAL, and service as commissioner of CAL and assistant to Angel Munoz of the Cyberathlete Professional League undoubtedly influenced the growth of esports.
