Talk:Francis Griffin

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article should be merged with other minor characters into an article on minor characters from Family Guy. There isn't really that much to be said about him. The article will probably always be a stub. - RealGrouchy 07:31, 19 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Colm Meaney

Did the actor, Colm Meaney, voiced in Family Guy? According to Internet Movie Database, there are no credits of him on Family guy. However, I googled around and found that he voiced Francis Griffin. But, it's Charles Durning who did the voice. So why Colm Meaney's name showed up in the first place? I'm confused. --Janarius 02:19, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gambling

This is something often confusing for Protestants. The Catholic Encyclopedia states, On certain conditions, and apart from excess or scandal, it is not sinful to stake money on the issue of a game of chance any more than it is sinful to insure one's property against risk, or deal in futures on the produce market. Gambling as sinful in itself, rather than as sinful solely when done in excess or scandal, is a Protestant position. Specifically Evangelical Christianity and related Calvinists. (Possibly Lutherans too I don't know) As this character is Catholic implying the idea his religiosity means he should be against all gambling is false.(I'll work on it even though I dislike this show and character)--T. Francis may not actually know his wife has gone gambling. He says she's on a 'Prayer Mission' when Lois asks how she is. - The Kinslayer 12.20 GMT 17/08/2006
