Frantisek Drdla

Frantisek Alois Drdla (Franz Drdla) (1868-1944) was a prominent composer of piano and violin music. Drdla was born in 1868 in Saar, Moravia. He is best known for composing Souvenir (1906) and Vision, both for violin with piano accompaniment, and was himself an accomplished violinist. He also composed the lesser-known Concertino in A minor, Op. 225 and two operettas. Drdla died in 1944.
