Frankston Football Club
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Frankston Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in Frankston, Victoria and currently playing in the Victorian Football League. It was formed in 1887. The Dolphins have no alignments to any AFL clubs and are not seeking a partner in the foreseeable future. Therefore, Frankston are at a disadvantage in the competition, as players from AFL clubs cannot be dropped back to play for them. The 2006 season has held several highlights for the Dolphins however, with the development of players such as Sam Pegler giving the side greater depth. The club has also markedly improved the forwardline this year with additions such as Francis McDonough and Peter Kemp. The backline remains the Dolphins' major strength, bolstered by the return of Marcus Blake from injury. 2006 looks as though it could be a relatively successful year for the team.
