Benjamin Franklin Elementary School is an elementary school in Westfield, New Jersey. It services grades K-5 established in 1930. It is part of the Westfield Public Schools.
As of 2006, average annual enrollment was 575 students, 90% of whom were Caucasian, 6% Asian and Pacific Islander, 3% Hispanic, and 1% African American. Of those who attend, less than 1% qualify for the free or reduced lunch program, in contrast to the state average of 27.2%[1]. According to a survey by the New Jersey Department of Education, the student to teacher ratio was 11.8 to 1 during the 2004-05 school year, on par with the state average[2].
