Frankeniaceae is the botanical name for a family of flowering plants. Such a family has been widely recognized by many taxonomists; it has commonly been assumed to be closely related to family Tamaricaceae.
The APG II system, of 2003 (unchanged from the APG system, of 1998) also recognizes such a family and assigns it to the order Caryophyllales in the clade core eudicots. The family consists of up to a hundred species in one genus (Frankenia) or a few genera.
