Franco Evangelisti (January 21, 1926 - January 28, 1980), was an Italian composer specifically interested in the scientific theories behind sound. In the early 1960s he famously attacked the lesser followers of the darmstadt school of composers, of which he was generally reckoned to be a member, accusing them of being merely dodecaphonic police.
