Franco Costanzo

Franco Costanzo (born September 5, 1980 in Rio Cuarto, Argentina) is an Argentinian football goalkeeper, who currently plays for FC Basel.
Early in his career Costanzo was once considered an excellent prospect; however, due to a few lengthy injuries, he has never managed to fufil his potential. However Costanzo is still a highly respected player if not a World-class one.
He started playing professionally with Club Atlético River Plate in 2000, and before transferring to Alavés in 2005, he won 3 Argentine Leagues; the Clausura 2002, 2003 and 2004.
He also played for Deportivo Alavés.
