Franciscus Bossinensis

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Franciscus Bossinensis (fl. 1510) (Francis the Bosnian) was a composer. Although his name suggest his Bosnian origin, this is a point of historical debate. Some experts consider him a Croat and some that he was Bosniak. He lived and worked in Venice. He published two collections of his lute music (containing 126 frottolas and 46 ricercares), printed by the Venetian printing house Petrucci.
