Francesco Rocca

Francesco Rocca (b. 1954) is an Italian football player.

Born in San Vito Romano (little village 40Km from Rome) on 02/08/1954, he is one of the most beloved of Roma fans.

His nickname was "Kawasaky" because he was fast and durable like the famous Japanese motor bike. One day after a derby, was coming back home and his car break down ten Km away from home, he run back home on his feet. The day after a journalist asked him, how you can run like that he simply answered: my mother's home made fettuccini.

He played 163 games (141 serie A and 22 Italian cup)only for Rome from 1972 to 1981 and never scored a goal. With the italian national team he played 18 times scoring one goal against U.S.A. He was forced to retire due to a serious accident which damaged his knee ligaments. He is currently involved with italian football as a coach of under 20 italian team.
