Fran Timbers (born 1987 in London, England) is an English author. She wrote the book Modern Love for Beginners (ISBN 1-4116-7171-6) when she was 15 years old. The book is a self-help guide on how to cope with first love and life as a teenager. The first edition of the book was published in December 2003 and has sold out since. A second edition has been published for European distribution.
Timbers was the youngest self help author in the United Kingdom until 10-year-old Libby Rees published her book on coping with divorce.
She currently lives with her family in central London. She has pledged a donation to breast cancer research for each book that is sold. It is her wish that as a teen she will help teenagers who are struggling through difficult times.
Although she does not plan to write any other books, a third edition of Modern Love For Beginners is yet to be published. In 2005, her focus swayed from writing to photography and art, once again a donation has been pledged to breast cancer research on any work sold.
Due to popular demand, Timbers is currently in the process of completing her second book, which should be available from Spring of 2007.
