François Modesto

François Joseph Modesto (born August 19, 1978 in Bastia, France) is a French footballer with AS Monaco. Ironically, he played his first professional match for Bastia against Monaco. Bastia won 2-0. After two seasons and 16 games for Bastia he spent four seasons in Italy with Cagliari until September 2004 when he left for Modena FC. He then returned to Cagliari but signed for Monaco in 2005 where has scored 4 goals in 63 games, almost one goal every 15 games.
