François Marie Daudin

François Marie Daudin (March 25, 1774 – 1804) was a French zoologist.
Daudin wrote Traite elementaire et complet d'Ornithologie (Natural History of Birds) (1800), and Histoire naturelle, générale et particulière des reptiles (Natural History of Reptiles) (1802–03, 8 volumes). This latter work contained descriptions of 517 species, some for the first time.
