Frampton, Dorset

Frampton is a village in west Dorset, England, situated in the Frome valley three miles north west of Dorchester at grid reference SY626951. The village has a population of 456 (2001), 6.9% of dwellings are second homes.

The Heart of Wessex railway line runs through the village though the nearest station is Maiden Newton.

Frampton was also the centre of a Liberty of the same name.

Tourist attractions in the village include the Frampton Gallery, Rose & Shrub nursery, Roman aquaducts & villa foundations. The village also centres itself round the beautiful millennium green and the Frome River.
