[edit] Trivia
- This episode marks the first time Tom's habit to read magazines of attractive female cats is shown.
- The writer, Charles Schneider, was inspired by the short story The Screaming Skull by F. Marion Crawford, originally from Wandering Ghosts (1911) which he read as a youth. It was adapted into a film with the same name. Other inspirations were THE SKULL, adapted from - Robert Bloch's short story THE SKULL OF THE MARQUIS DE SADE. Schneider also edited the retro-men's mag tribute ,CAD (Feral House), which explains the cheesecake referenced above.
- The skull bit also recalls a scene from a Three Stooges short, also set in a spooky house that was being renovated, involving a parrot climbing inside a discarded skull and walking about, scaring the Stooges.
