Fréttablaðið is Iceland's biggest newspaper. Fréttablaðið is in Icelandic and distributed to homes across the country daily, free of charge.

It is published by the media group 365 prentmiðlar, which also owns the newspaper DV, and runs Vísir as their Internet arm. Fréttablaðið is controversial in Iceland and has been accused of having a politically left-leaning bias and of being used to serve the financial and political interests of its largest shareholder, the Icelandic corporation Baugur.
