Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt

Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt (born in Germany, circa 1943) is best known as the ninth husband of the Hungarian-born American actress Zsa Zsa Gabor. He is technically and legally her eighth husband. Gabor's previous marriage to Mexican actor Felipe de Alba was invalid and subsequently annulled, since she was not divorced from Michael O'Hara when she wed de Alba at sea.
Originally born Hans Robert Lichtenberg (other sources state Hans-Georg Lichtenberg), he was adopted in 1980 by an elderly German princess of Anhalt, who used such adoptions as a form of income. The transaction was masterminded by "Consul" Hans-Hermann Weyer, a German who pioneered the selling of noble titles, honorary doctorates and other decorations in Germany. As a result, Hans took the name Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt and is also known as simply Frédéric von Anhalt.
This does not, however, indicate that he has a noble title, which have been extinct in Germany since 1919. Instead Prinz von Anhalt is his post-adoption surname and carries with it no legal connection as a representative or member of the Anhalt dynasty.
He married Zsa Zsa Gabor in 1986, and they are still married as of August 2006, making it Gabor's longest marriage by far. He appears to be treating her very well through her recent health setbacks and other misfortunes.
