Thorvald never knew his father who abandoned him until his mother, Margaret, told him that his father was Somerled. Wanting to prove to his unknown father that he was indeed worthy to be called his son, he sets off on a journey to his father with Sam, the fisherman and Creidhe, a beautiful stowaway girl who mistakenly loves Thorvald.
