Foxdale

Foxdale is a small mining village located on the Isle of Man. It is part of parish of Patrick and located close to St. John's. The village is split into two parts, Higher Foxdale and Lower Foxdale. Each part stretches for approximately 1 km along the main A3 Castletown to Ramsey road, whilst Higher Foxdale also extends to the east along the A24 road to Douglas.
The village falls within the sheading and constituency of Glenfaba and is currently respresented in Tynwald and the House of Keys by the Hon. David Anderson, M.H.K. who was elected in 2001. The village is served by Patrick Parish Commissioners.
Foxdale has its own primary school, located in Higher Foxdale. Foxdale Primary School is currently in its second home, having moved to a new building on 10 September, 1991. The current Head Teacher is Mr Stuart Lambie, M.B.E.
The village's only public house is 'The Baltic', located in Higher Foxdale. The pub was previously named 'The Foxdale Hotel'.
The village has had a football team since the early 1990s. Foxdale F.C. are based at Billy Goats Park.
