Fox FM is an Independent Local Radio station broadcasting to Oxfordshire, United Kingdom on the frequencies 102.6 MHz FM from the Oxford transmitter and 97.4 MHz FM from Farthinghoe.
Fox FM is part of the GCap Media group, formed from the merger of GWR Group and Capital Radio. Most programmes are broadcast locally, with some programmes syndicated across GCap Media's "One" network such as "Music Control", Graham Torrington's "Late Night Love" and The Hit 40 UK.
The station has two very popular shows, The Breakfast Club with Debbie & Adam which is broadcast from 6 - 10am, and The Big Drive Home with Roop and Tom, from 4 - 7pm - from Monday to Friday.

[edit] The Breakfast Club
'The Breakfast Club' with Debbie Ryan and Adam Ball has been on-air since November 2005 when Debbie and Adam took over the reigns... their features include Curry-Oke and 'Captain' Mike Chambers is a long-standing part of the show. Debbie is famous in Oxfordshire for her warm, yet outspoken style, and also for keeping her identity a secret - nobody knows what she looks like. She previously hosted the evening show 'Fox Select' for five years before moving to the breakfast show.

'The Big Drive Home' has been presented by Roop Jones and Tom Bowker since October 2006. Their features include 'Slurping Tea Celebrity' where listeners have to guess which celebrity is slurping a cup of tea and 'Car Tune Time' after 6pm when listeners can call in to request songs to be played. The other locally-produced shows on the station are Luke Wilkins (10am-1pm) and Ali Jones (1pm-4pm). Luke also hosts 'Total Request Lunchtime' between 12 and 1pm on weekday lunchtimes.

Over the last six years, Fox FM has been committed to the community it serves - by raising thousands of pounds each year for their chosen charities in Help A Local Child. In 2005, they raised £91,000 for many charities including Oxford Children's Hospital, Multiple Sclerosis Oxfordshire branch and Oxfordshire Playbus. They've also rewarded extraordinary people in their annual 'Local Heroes' awards. In 2003, four winners received accolades - including Young Person, Local Hero and Special Award. Andrew Baker, a fundraiser for Oxford Children's Hospital together with young singing star Zoe Mace, fundraiser Jeff Samways and sea cadet volunteer Phil Pether were amongst those honoured.

The station was launched on Friday 15th September 1989 from an ex-Carpet Warehouse in Cowley, Oxford. The original presenters were Phil Miles, Steve Ellis, Tony James, Jame Markham (the Fox Report), Steve Priestly, Paul Evans, Stuart Cameron and Henry Aubrey-Fletcher. The Chairman was Julian (Toby) Blackwell and the Managing Director (MD) was Tom Hunter. In 1994, Sally Oldham became MD and Jean-Paul Hansford became the Programme Director (PD). The following year, the MD was Mark Flanagan and PD Phil Angell. In 1998, Capital Radio plc took full control of Fox and Lyn Long became MD.
