Fountain square
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A fountain square is a park or plaza in a city that features a fountain. A fountain square is similar to a town square but is usually smaller and not situated in front of the town hall or county courthouse. It may stand alone or as part of a larger public park.
In the United States, there are numerous fountain squares, many of which are actually called "Fountain Square," including those in Cincinnati, Ohio (see that article for details); Indianapolis, Indiana; Evanston, Illinois; Bloomington, Indiana; and Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Fountain Square in Baku, Azerbaijan is one of the country's most famous tourist destinations.
