Talk:Fosse Way

The general policy I have tried to keep to is not to mention every place the road passes through, but only significant features of the landscape (Windwhistle Hill, RAF Kemble), and those places whose name or history is relevant to the Romans or the road, as described in the discussion of names in the preamble. So include Over Stratton (a tiny viallge in Somerset) and Chesterton (English name for the village nearest the ancient remains of a Roman town), but not Stow-on-the-Wold (Stow probably does not come from Stowey, Stan weg or Stone road in this case), nor Princethorpe, etc. -- Mikhailfranco 21:02, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
