My name is José Fornari, a.k.a. Tuti (my nickname since childhood). I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1966, where I've been living since then, except from 1995-2000, where I moved to California.

I have a B.S in EE and a B.S. in Music (Piano). Both my M.S. and Ph.D. are in EE where the research is in the field of Computer Music and Sound Synthesis. In 2006 I finished my Pos-Doc in Evolutionary Sound Synthesis.

Most of my adult life I've been juggling between Music (www.tuti.garoa.com) and Academics (www.nics.unicamp.br/~fornari).
