[edit] Fortune Cookie
Filburt is chosen to be on the Mega Spin game show and is given the persona "Mr. Lucky". Him, Rocko, and Heffer celebrate at a Chinese restaurant. When they receive fortune cookies, Filburt's fortune forshadows "bad luck and misfortune". This worries Filburt who begins to show signs of bad luck including being followed by dozens of black cats, being rained on, and injuring most of O-Town. Filburt returns to the restaurant to try to receive a better fortune but to no avail. Heffer sees a horseshoe on the wall and suggests that Filburt nail them to his shell as well as donning rabbits' feet and a crown of four-leaf clovers when he goes on the Mega Spin. Finally, the big day arrives. Filburt spins the game wheel so hard, it loosens the screw that holds it in place and mows down the whole city. The wheel returns to Filburt where he lands on the winning section of it. He becomes ecstatic with joy despite all the carnage around him.
[edit] Dear John
Rocko's kitchen is destroyed by a government "satellite", right before his big party. Trying to find a solution to getting the kitchen fixed, he and Heffer head for a home improvement convention in O-Town. There they meet Bob "Bucky" Taylor (a parody of Bob Vila), a home improvement "guru" with a line of "Do It Yourself" books. Rocko buys his books and tries out the solutions with Heffer, but find that all Bucky writes about are bathrooms, and they inadvertently convert his kitchen into a bathroom! Angry, Rocko contacts Bucky, who takes advantage of the situation to film an episode of his TV show in Rocko's house. Rocko and Heffer leave for the day, and Bucky at this point reveals that he's completely inept, relying on an assistant and not even recalling the names of his own tools (e.g. calling a hammer a "poundy-smacky thingy"). Rocko and Heffer come home later that day, only to find Bucky turned the whole house into a bunch of bathrooms! Rocko kicks Bucky out, and thinking quickly, throws the party anyway, but saying it's a theme party instead. No one questions the party, thankfully.
