The Fort Worth Brahmas are a professional ice hockey team. The coach of the team is Guy Larose, the General Manager is Mike Barack and the Vice President is Bill Yates. They are a member of the Central Hockey League. They actually began play in the Western Professional Hockey League when the CHL's Fort Worth Fire were still in operation. The Fire eventually ceased operations, and the CHL did not have a team in Fort Worth until the merger with the WPHL. The Brahmas play their home games at Fort Worth Convention Center.

Due to problems negotiating a lease with the Fort Worth Convention Center, the Brahmas announced on May 3, 2006 that they would suspend operations for the 2006-07 season. No word as of yet as to whether or not the team will return for the 2007-08 season.
