The college is divided into 2 sub-schools, Junior (7-9), and Senior (10-12) with a courtyard for Years 7-9, a courtyard for Year 10, and another courtyard for VCE Years 11-12. As of 2006, the school has approximately 750 enrolments including up to 50 full fee paying International Students. The school's enrolment has been in decline from approximately the usual 800-1000 due to the reduction in the number of enrolments from feeder schools, however, enrolment figures have picked up over the past year or two, which will no doubt see more enrolments.

The school has and still is reknowned for its top class technology facilities. The school has just recently introduced around 150 new computers to replace the old computers which have been moved into other areas of the school. Forest Hill College is also fortunate to host a Cisco Certified Networking Academy Program (CCNA) to its Year 10-12 Students. The school's extensive network is also of envy to other schools.
