[edit] Plot details and Character profiles

Tim is an executive forensic scientist and the leader of the Forensic Heroes. He leads and trains his team to handle different crime scenes so they can retrieve evidence, perform experiements, and present information in court. Tim and his team helps the police force solve crimes. He is calm, smart, and has a keen eye for unsual things and evidence that eventually leads his team to crack numerous cases.

When Tim was young, his mother was ill. His father made a mistake and poisoned Tim's mother. When the police asked Tim’s father about it, he claimed that it was an accident. From then on, Tim hated his father. Years later, his wife Charlie became paralyzed from a car accident and developed cancer while in the hospital for 3 years. One day, Tim's wife ate some cake that Tim had given her and days later, Tim's wife died from a heart attack and a toxic substance was found in her system. Tim's brother in law, Sam, suspected Tim poisoned Charlie. Tim’s father told the police that he had killed his daughter-in-law, set up some evidence, and was prepared to kill himself as well. It was revealed that he was willing to take any blame to protect his son. Madam Leung, Tim's partner, showed Tim the interrogation of Tim's father. After that, Tim asked his father one more time if his father had killed Tim's mother. He found out that his father had done it, but it was an accident. Charlie's death was the result of a mercy killing preformed by her own nurse.

It was also revealed that Tim, his wife Charlie, and his ex-girlfriend were involved in a love triangle 10 years prior. Charlie selfishly hid a letter that his girlfriend had written to him asking him to choose between them or she would leave for America. Tim never saw the letter, which led to his heartbreak and thereafter marrying Charlie. The girlfriend left for America, and years later returned as a doctor at Charlie's hospital. She was implicated as a suspect in Charlie's death when their backstory was uncovered by the police after the burnt letter was discovered.

Because of Tim’s intelligence displayed in many cases, Yoyo was amazed by his work and fell for him. Right when Tim thought it was time to put down the past and start a new relationship, Tim became involved in a case in which all evidence seemed to point to him as the murderer. The murderer in question set up the evidence and kidnaps Tim in the last chapters and the team work to save Tim before it's too late.

Leung is high-level a police officer referred to as "Madam" by her subordinates and colleagues. Since she had lost her mother at a young age, her father became sort of a mother to Leung and is very protective of Yoyo and her brother. Leung herself is very protective of her younger brother, who is a forensic scientist.

Workwise, Leung and Tim were partnered together in many cases. Leung’s way of solving cases is to hold any and all suspects, which was different from Tim’s. Tim believed in slowly and precisely examining all evidence to make sure that nobody is wrongly accused. Sometimes, even when Leung is about to press charges, Tim would suggest that what Leung said was wrong and ask Leung to look at the case again, causing Leung to get really mad.

Yoyo and Sam broke up and continued with her work. At this time, she bumped into her childhood mentor who inspired her to become a police officer, Jeung. Because of Jeung's desperation in a case, he lost his ambition. Yoyo, in helping to get his ambition back, decides to help Jeung solve the case. With the help of Tim, the real murderer was put into jail, also at the cost of Jeung's life.

At the same time, Yoyo’s father was suspected of killing his brother, Hing Jung. Tim re-examined the evidence and helped Yoyo's father to regain his memory of his alibi, and finally found the real murderer. The evidence showed that Yoyo’s father was a scapegoat. Yoyo was very thankful for what Tim did and slowly started to like him. After Yoyo was in love with Bobby they both had one night stand by accident because Bobby's long island had drugs dissolved in it.

Sam is a handsome forensic doctor and coroner, who is also a scientific crime novelist. As a kid, sam lost his parents and grew up with only his sister Charlie at an orphanage. Sam hung out with the wrong people as a teenager and became a gangster. He even got a tattoo on his arm, becoming part of a gang. Once, Sam’s sister saved Sam causing herself to be hurt by sam’s enemy. From that day on, Sam awoke from his dream and went back to being good and studied medicine.

Sam then became a forensic doctor and a famous coroner and writer, using his sister's name as his nom de plume. Besides work, he does a special voluntary program to help the community. Sam and his sister’s husband (Tim) are also very good friends.

Sam was attracted by yoyo’s sense of justice and attempted to begin a relationship. In everybody’s eyes, they are a perfect match but at the end they broke up amicably because of incompatiability of opinions. Afterwards, Sam started to have feelings with the young and cute “ding ding” or Linda. Both of them are made for each other but, unexpectedly, linda’s love for sam brought her to danger.

Linda is the first person shown in the entire series, and the junior forensic scientist hired by Tim in the second episode of the series. She is in her early 20s, a bit naive, but cheerful and always goodhearted. In work, Sam always encouraged Linda and Sam was attracted to Linda’s happy personality. After being together for awhile, they fell in love and became a couple. In the city, numerous murder cases were happening the deaths were similar to Sam’s novels. Linda inadvertently becomes a near-victim, but manages to save herself and reveal the murderer to the rest of the team. Linda and Sam become engaged in the series finale.

Ray is Yoyo's subordinate officer. When Yoyo became his superior, Ray was unhappy with Yoyo’s staunch and strict operation and questioned her authority and ability as a chief officer. But in a case, Yoyo ran and jumped into the water to arrest a man, and Ray looked at her from another perspective and increasingly respected her. After cooperating together, ray also found that yoyo was very serious about work, smart, and understands her team’s feelings. But because Yoyo insists of having Jeung in his team, Ray was not happy. Later, because of Yoyo helping Jeung out, Ray completely changed his perspective on Yoyo. He also hoped that under Yoyo’s leadership, their team would be the very best.

  • Yvonne – Florence Kwok

Yvonne is also in the forensic department. In the eyes of everybody, she is a happily married woman, having a great relationship with her husband Chris but Yvonne was reluctant to have children because of a childhood experience. When Yvonne came across a case involving child abuse, she became very incensed and involved. Yvonne’s family was poor when she was young. Her parents were forced to give Yvonne and her sister to her maid to take care of them. In the end, yvonne’s sister was abused to death. Because of this incident, Yvonne decided not to have children. She and her husband, a lawyer, had very demanding jobs and she wasn't willing to risk anything with having children. Eventually, her husband started an affair with a partner and confessed he did want children and left Yvonne to be together with his pregnant mistress. Yvonne comes close to resigning from her job.
