Forbidden Hollywood
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Forbidden Hollywood was an off-Broadway show created by Gerard Alessandri, who also created the ever-popular Forbidden Broadway. But instead of spoofing Broadway, FH spoofed popular films (such as Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, The Wizard Of Oz, and Aladdin and the songs featured in them (or else other songs in order to comment on the film). It also spoofs stars like Tom Hanks, Keanu Reeves, Barbra Streisand, Ann-Margret, and Whoopi Goldberg.
In addition to the show, Alessandri released an album to accompany it in 1995. The album was released by Varese Sarabande Records, Inc., was recorded live in Hollywood, and features the original cast members, many of whom also have starred in Forbidden Broadway.
