"For the Cause" is a fourth-season episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Quick Overview: Sisko begins to suspect his girlfriend Kasidy is a Maquis smuggler.
In this episode, we learn that Michael Eddington's true sympathies lie with the Maquis when he defects. However, before doing so, he tricks Sisko into believing Kasidy Yates is involved with the Maquis so as to get Sisko and the Defiant away from the station when a group of industrial-level replicators are delivered en route to Cardassia.
