[edit] Band History
The band formed in the late 1990s as a ska/hardcore band. They gained a good reputation, upon releasing several demos. During the early 2000s, the band started to take a more hardcore style. They released the For My Friends EP in 2002, and took the New Jersey hardcore scene by storm.
Soon, they released the full release Insanity Later, which blended their ska elements with their newfound hardcore elements. The album was very popular, receiving good reviews. The band toured the album, opening for many up and coming bands, as well as many popular acts. Many consider the album to be their first big break into the mainstream.
In 2005, they returned to the studio to create their second full length, Resist Convenience. It was released on February 21st, 2006.
[edit] Resist Convenience Era
The band their second full length, 'Resist Convenience', on March 10, 2006. They held a CD release show featuring the bands Paulson, Anterrabae, The Forecast, Fake Your Death, and She Could Be King. The album is best described as what their style has become over the years.
In a review for the album, Alternative Press rated the album 3 out of 5 stars. For the album cover image, they accidentally used the cover of Insanity Later. What outraged fans about this review is that AP noted Folly having "Metallica-worthy guitar breakdowns." The reason they were outraged was because Folly do not like Metallica's music.
Currently, the band has been touring and playing to support the release.
