Foglight Transaction Recorder

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Foglight Transaction Recorder (FTR) creates synthetic transactions that closely resemble those performed by end users. It uses Web-based recording technology to create consistently reproducible synthetic transactions. In addition to web recording, it can create transactions using command line, and Windows script. Foglight Transaction Recorder Advanced adds support for Java and thick client applications.

The Foglight Transaction Player is used to playback scripts created by the Foglight Transaction Recorder. To monitor availability and transaction response times from different locations, multiple Foglight Transaction Players can be deployed to simulate end-user transactions and measure their response times from those locations.

Foglight Transaction Recorder is produced by Quest Software.
