Fode and Beed

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fode and Beed' were each half of the two headed announcer present at the Boonta Eve Classic pod race in Star Wars, The Phantom Menace. Both Fode and Beed were created digitally and were voiced by Greg Proops and Scott Capurro.

At first, many fans assumed that Feed (the red, English-speaking head, played by Proops) and Bode (the green, Huttese-speaking head, played by Capurro) were saying the same lines, simply in different languages. Since Feed and Bode are often heard reacting to each other's dialogue, it now seems that they are actually saying different words (Bode's lines are never translated onscreen).

They have a successful career as a sportscaster and during the peak of Podracing popularity they travel to dispersed worlds such as Ando Prime, Baroonda, Mon Gazza, Malastare, and Ord Ibanna.

Fode and Beed are a Troig and the home planet of the Troigs is Pollillus which was discovered in the later years of the Republic. Fode and Beed are one of the most famous from that world. The Troigs are a very interesting species. All Troigs have two heads or more and Troigs with more than two heads are rare and celebrated. Fode and Beed would be called "Fodesinbeed" in their culture. The left and right heads would be called the Saprah and Saprin.
