Thanks Dysprosia! I'll mostly work on the Dutch wikipedia, there is far more work to do there, but every now and then I can add a bit here, as well. :-) Flyingbird 16:13, 27 Sep 2003 (UTC)
I'm working on the jackfruit article with you (hope I'm being helpful 8^)). It would be beneficial if you added something short about how the jackfruit chips are produced. That is, are they dried, freeze-dried; are they like dried fruit are really like "chips" (which are flat and crunchy in the US; like fries in the UK)? Maybe it says on the bag how they are made? - Marshman 19:14, 19 Nov 2003 (UTC)
- Hi Marshman, I wish I could add information on how jackfruit chips are produced, but I am just a consumer, and the bag just says it is baked in vegetable oil, I guess it usually is, and it contains 15% of the daily requirement of vitamin C. Flyingbird 20:23, 19 Nov 2003 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Kos_roman_amphitheater.jpg
Actually, the image shows a theater, not an amphitheater. Additionally, it is not a Roman theatre, but a Greek one. To avoid confusion it would be nice if could change the file name --Enlil2 17:05, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Gibraltar_en.jpg
Hello there,
I was just reading Wikipedia:Image use policy and noticed that your Media:Gibraltar_en.jpg picture does not fully comply with the policies. It would be great if you could remove all the text from the pictures (credits should go on the image description page), and upload high resolution versions (the thumb option of Wikipedia's image syntax can be used for displaying low resolution versions of them the article) of the three separated pictures, rather than the three joined in one.
Your images are nice and help the Gibraltar article, but I hope you understand that having the credits hardcoded in the picture and having them joined in one low resolution image makes Wikipedia look somewhat unprofessional. Don't take it personally I mean no offense :). Tell me what you think. Regards, xDCDx 00:28, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Hi xDCDx, in the future, I will include pictures in a different way indeed. Meanwhile, feel free to improve/correct this one, or even remove it if you have a better alternative. Maybe some day I'll give it a try myself. Cheers. Flyingbird 08:05, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)

- FYI, I've removed the images from Strait of Gibraltar as they are, also, far from compliant with wikipedia norms. --Tagishsimon

- That's ok, see the note above, I'll do it differently next time. (I do regret that most people do not put at least the string 'wikipedia' and their username in small letters on each picture, btw.) Flyingbird 19:49, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Coster_nl, Coster_en.jpg
Hi Flyingbird,
I took the liberty to replace the images of Laurens Janszoon Coster on the Dutch and English wikipedia's with a brighter version. I hope that's okay with you -- the original ones were really quite dark. I've kept the originals where they were but they are no longer used in the article.

- Hi Guus, that is fine! Thanks! Flyingbird 08:05, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)
[edit] Parkiet.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Parkiet.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use gfdl if you release it under the GFDL, or fairuse if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Right now, I'll put it as unverified, but change it to what it's supposed to be when you get a chance. Thanks, Mattingly23 16:13, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Same with Image:Algeciras 3en.jpg, although that's just some holiday pictures, as you say. --Ricky81682 (talk) 08:12, Dec 27, 2004 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, I overlooked it, I just added a gfdl tag to both! Cheers. Flyingbird 04:40, 10 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Tarifa en.jpg
Similar to the discussion regarding pictures as above, please reload 3 separate images without hardcoded copyright caption to comply with wiki image-use guidelines. I could do it myself but we would lose the lower part of each image. If you no longer have the uncaption version of the image that is probably what would have to be done or exclude the image all together. For the time being I have added a temporary caption on the Tarifa page so that the image could align better. Thanks. --Kvasir 12:34, 24 May 2005 (UTC)
- Hi, I do not have time for this, feel free to remove the pictures or to improve them in any way, sorry. Flyingbird 17:45, 28 May 2005 (UTC)

- Oops, I am too late for that, it was GNU-FDL, I apparently forgot to mention that. I may upload it at a later point, when I'll have more time. Thanks for notifying me!! Flyingbird 13:42, 18 September 2005 (UTC)
