The Flying Dragon is a lizard that lives in the rainforests of Asia and the East Indies. They can also be found on rubber plantations. It can spread out folds of skin attached to its movable ribs to form "wings" that are uses to glide from tree to tree, and has been recorded to "fly" up to 50 meters. Its wings are brightly colored with orange, red and blue spots and stripes, and they provide camouflage when folded. The flying dragon can reach lengths as long as 19 - 23 cm. It feeds on arboreal ants and termites. During breeding season the female flying dragon will venture down to the forest floor and bury its 1-5 eggs in the soil.
