Flying Wild is the fifth installment of the East Side Kids series. The gang, except for Muggs, works at an aviation factory where spys are present. However, Muggs hangs out there all day long and begins to suspect the doctor of the 'Flying Ambulance' to be the one stealing blueprints and smuggling them to secret agents.

  • Robert F. Hill who plays the role of Woodward, was director of the first East Side Kids film.
  • The scene in which the car flips onto its side was not scripted, the driver had made the turn to fast and the expressions on the gang's faces were one hundred percent real.
  • The 'working title' of the film was "Air Devils"
  • The film was re-released in 1949 and 1952.
