Flying J Inc. is a privately held corporation engaged in hospitality and other highway-related products and services -- primarily truck stops, or "travel plazas" -- operated under the "Flying J" brand. Founded in 1968 by O. Jay Call, Flying J is now the largest retailer of diesel fuel in North America with some 220 locations throughout the United States and Canada, and over 15,000 employees.

Flying J Inc. ranks 30th on Forbes' list of largest privately held companies with 2005 sales exceeding $10.9 billion. In addition to their network of travel plazas, they are involved in several other integrated ventures such as financial services, banking, insurance, and communication services as well as in oil exploration, production, refining and distribution.
