From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
FlyerTalk is an Internet forum for discussion of airline frequent flyer programs and business travel. It ranks in the top 5,000 on Alexa[citation needed] and has had over six million posts. Founded in 1998 and owned by Randy Petersen, FlyerTalk includes hotel reviews, forums for discussion of travel bargains, and a general topics forum called "Omni."
The forum and its users are often cited in the news media as resources or sources for stories on airlines and travel.[1] [2] [3] The FlyerTalk site received a lot of publicity[citation needed] when in 2000 it highlighted the efforts of the the so-called Pudding Guy who bought 12,150 cups of pudding in order to earn lifetime elite status on American Airlines.
