Fluendo intends to develop a free software streaming media server that can provide an all-in-one solution to serve both live and pre-recorded media content to any existing platform. Fluendo also develops a multimedia framework for Linux, Gstreamer, which is rapidly becoming a standard after having been accepted by the GNOME community.

The company's CEO is Julien Moutte, who is also a co-founder. Their offices are located in the Barcelona World Trade Center, in Spain.

Releases of the companies streaming product Flumotion have been occurring for some time now, and have been used to stream live events from the Gnome Users and Developers Conference GUADEC in recent years.
