[edit] Nirvana (band) entry on May 29

Hi! The entry you added to May 29 doesn't seem to establish why this particular performance is historically significant:

1991 - Nirvana performs their hit single "Come as You Are" for the first time at The Jabberjaw, a nightclub in Los Angeles, California.

I don't see that performance noted on the Nirvana (band) page. Our policy on the date pages is that an event should already have its own Wikipedia article that demonstrates why it's historically notable. As an example of what I mean, an entry like the following would definitely be considered historically notable:

1961 - The Beatles perform for the first time at the Cavern Club in Liverpool.

It turns out that we don't currently have that entry on the November 9 page, but it would be completely valid. I hate to do this to you, but I've removed the Nirvana entry from May 29. Let me know if there's something I'm missing here; if that particular performance is notable, perhaps it should be noted in the Nirvana article. -- Jim Douglas ^(talk) _(contribs) 04:56, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. Multicolored text is extremely hard to read, code-heavy, and lends undue weight to your signature compared to your comment or other people's comments.
