Florida Statutes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Florida Statutes are the codified, statutory laws of the state of Florida. The laws are approved by the Florida Legislature, and signed into law by the Governor of Florida. The Constitution of Florida defines how the statutes must be passed into law, and defines the limits of authority and basic law that the Florida Statutes must be comply with. Certain types of laws are prohibited by the Florida Constitution. Such laws could be ruled unconstitutional by the judicial branch of the Government of Florida, the State's court system.
