Florida State Road 739

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Also known as Business Route US 41 for the northernmost six miles of its route, State Road 739 is a 14-mile-long commercial highway for Fort Myers, Florida.

The southern terminus of SR 739 is an intersection of Metro Parkway and Six Mile Cypress Parkway (SR 865) near Villas. State Road 739 then follows Metro Parkway northward, goes westward on Hanson Street, and northward on Fowler Street before crossing the Caloosahatchee River on the Edison Bridge. Northbound BR US 41-SR 739 is complexed with SR 80 for four blocks on First Street before turning onto the northbound span; southbound BR US 41-SR 739 does not travel along SR 80 as Fowler Street continues directly from the southbound span. North of the Edison Bridge, the State Road and Bannered U.S. Route continue as a part of the Tamiami Trail, which rejoins mainline US 41-SR 45 just outside Cape Coral.
