Florida Leader
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Florida Leader is an education magazine, founded in 1983 by W.H. "Butch" Oxendine, Jr., then a student at the University of Florida. Oxendine founded Campus Leader as a monthly funded by the Student Government. After a year of publishing on-campus, Oxendine took Campus Leader off-campus in 1984, changing the name to Florida Leader.
The magazine quickly expanded to all 86 Florida colleges and universities, and in the late 1980s, started a high school edition.
Florida Leader has been the sponsor of the 19th annual "Florida College Student of the Year Awards" and the 17th annual "Best of Florida Schools Awards."
